The AITC Center's "Basic Computer Literacy for Elderly People" course continues its important mission of making the world of technology more accessible to adults. As part of this initiative, Armenian Public Radio hosted training coordinator Siranush Misakyan and program participant Siranush Changalyanto discuss the course details and its impact on participants' lives.

The course covers essential computer skills, from the very first steps to applying important daily functions. According to Siranush Misakyan, the program teaches participants how to properly turn a computer on and off, use a mouse, and navigate email. "Anyone aged 50 and above, whether employed or retired, can benefit from this free program and acquire valuable digital skills," she emphasized.
Program participant Siranush Changalyan shared her experience, stating that although some people discouraged her from learning digital skills, she confidently moved forward and can now independently perform all necessary computer tasks.
"I told them, ‘I know some things, but there are things I don’t know. Even if I don’t learn anything new, that’s fine—I’ll review what I already know.’ This course has been very useful for me. For example, now I clearly understand what spam is and what emails I should or shouldn't open," said Mrs. Siranush. This AITC/EIF initiative is a powerful testament to the idea that education has no limits and that anyone can embrace new technologies, regardless of age. The course opens new opportunities for adults, making the digital world more accessible and user-friendly.
