DESCRIPTION
This course provides a solid foundation in SQL and its use for managing relational databases, from core concepts to advanced analytical techniques. Participants will learn how to create and manage database structures, write and execute SQL queries, and work effectively with data.
The program covers essential SQL topics such as tables, data types, filtering, sorting, joins, aggregate functions, and data manipulation (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE), as well as principles of database normalization, table relationships, and access control.
A strong focus is placed on advanced SQL for data analysis, including window functions such as ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), DENSE_RANK(), LAG(), LEAD(), and FIRST_VALUE(), using OVER(), PARTITION BY, and ORDER BY. Participants will learn to compare data across rows, calculate running totals, perform cumulative and moving aggregates, and analyze performance trends.
Throughout the course, students will work on practical SQL challenges inspired by real interview questions from leading global tech companies, strengthening their analytical and problem-solving skills.
